James BROWN I of Newbury
Judith __?__
Sarah CUTTING
Husband:  James BROWNE / BROWN
Birth:  ca. 1604
Death:  3 Nov 1676, Salem, Essex Co., MBC (Massachusetts Bay Colony)
Occupation:  glazier
Marriage-1:  by 1637, Charlestown, MBC [now a neighborhood of Boston, MA]
Wife-1:  Judith __?__

Thank's to Torrey (see below), many give Judith's maiden name as CUTTING, but even Torry — indicating by the use of [brackets] — was uncertain of her name.  There is, in fact, no direct evidence that her maiden name was CUTTING, and even if it was, she is certainly not Sarah's sister.  Bad data are not better than no data (mistakes mislead), so in such a case, it's better to leave her maiden name unknown.

Marriage-2:  by 1652
Wife-2:  Sarah CUTTING
Birth (æ 50 in 1679):  1628/9
Death:  1698/9
Other Spouse:  m2. 29 Nov 1677, Middlesex Co., MBC, William HEALY of Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MBC
Other Spouse:  m3. 3 Dec 1685, Newbury, Essex Co., MBC, Hugh MARCH, Sr.
Father:  John CUTTING — not known to have a daughter, Judith
Mother:  Mary __?__
Children with Judith — born in Charlestown, MBC:
  1.  John BROWN, b. 4 Jan 1637/8; d. 18 Dec 1690
  2.  James BROWN, b. 20 Feb 1642/3; d. 28 Aug 1643, Charlestown, Middlesex Co., MBC — the 22nd recorded death in the history of Boston

There must have been another son, James, because one survived to marry.
  3.  James BROWN II, b. aft. 1643
He named a daughter, Judith, presumably in honor of his mother.

The "b" indicates the birth date of a child as an indication that the marriage took place before this time.  The locations are known residences of the husband, ending with the husband's place of death.  Items in [brackets] are uncertain.  An entry in Torrey does not imply a marriage in New England; it only demonstrates the presence of a married couple there before 1700.  Torrey is a compilation of published sources, not primary records, so he should be considered a secondary source.
