Frank is said to be "Franklin M.," but so far, I have found him in primary records only as Frank A.
Fred is said to be Frederick Anson, but the 1870 census has him as Albert, and I have yet to find a primary record calling him Franklin.
Another secondary source has both with middle name Anson.

2. 1840 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com): there were only three BUCKS in Orleans Co., NY; only two of those had sons under age 5; and only one of those was in the Village of Medina (Ridgeway Twp., p. 348A, line 12), namely: Elias BUCK (130 110 - 111 001).

3. 1850 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com): Hassan BUCK (æ 10, b. NY) is living with the Joseph T. BEEBE (æ 40, b. NY) family in Jackson, Jackson Co., MI (p. 358B). Also in the 1850 census of Jackson, Jackson Co., MI, there is an Elias BUCK (æ 46, b. unknown), an apparent widower, living with the George WOODWORTH(p. 345B).

There is an Elias BUCK (æ 57, b. NY, carpenter & joiner) and his wife Mary (æ 30, b. NY) — no children — living in Blackman Twp., Jackson Co., MI (p. 640).
