Fred and Sarah cannot have been married 22 years.  Not only are they too young to have been married 22 years, in the 1880 census, Fred (æ 13) was living with his widowed mother, Rhoda (UPHAM) BUCK, and Sarah (æ 18) was living with her first husband, John A. STRAUB.  My guess is that they've been married two years because, while Hassan is surely Fred's son, I don't think he's Sarah's son.  If Hassan were Sarah's biological son, she should be showing children 4/4 or 4/3, not 3/3, because she had three children with John STRAUB (n.b., others disagree with me and insist he is Sarah's son).

If Hassan were truly her son, Sarah should be showing children 4/4 or 4/3, not 3/3.

5.  1920 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Fred not found, at least not with any certainly (the name is a common one).  Sarah is deceased and Hassan is married and enumerated as head-of-household in Lansing, Ingham Co., MI.
