I have no explanation for the ordering of the children, unless Aaron is Eliza's child from a prior marriage, and the older children were by a prior wife of Jefferson's.  In other words, only Henry is both Jefferson's and Eliza's child together.

3.  1880 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #8 of 73):  Ward 3, Assumption Par., LA, Roll T9_447, p. 211A, PN 9, SD 1, ED 98, enumerated 3 Jun 1880, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1880 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•

Obviously, the enumerator was using "daughter-in-law" to mean something other than its current definition.
