In the 1920 census (of Gooding Twp., Gooding Co., ID), Lovie gives her birthplace as Oregon. Is there any indication that William & Elizabeth ever moved to Oregon, then back to Idaho? In the same census, Lovie gives the birthplaces of her parents as Illinois, which, of course, is incorrect. Aren't all three birthplaces incorrect? (Idaho Territory was formed from Oregon Territory long before Lovie was born, so that is not the reason she would give her birthplace as Oregon.) |
