This Indenture made the 20th day of October in the year of Christ 1827 between Peter Thompson of the County of Todd and State of Kentucky of the one part and Claibourne Mobley of Said County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Peter Thompson for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty six dollars to him in hand paid by the said Mobley the of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Claibourne Mobley his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel land containing sixty three acres lying in the aforesain County on the waters of the west fork of Red River, being a part of Reddins military of 200 acres and part of a 25 acre Survey patented to said Thompson and bounded as follows Beginning at a stake standing three and an half poles west of the north east corner of said military thence south 133 poles to a black oak and hickory thence East 16 poles to a small hickory thence South 46 poles to a white oak on a branch corner to said 25 acre Survey thence N66-2/3W 74 poles to a white oak in a bend of a branch corner to said 25 acre Survey thence west 7½ poles to two post oaks one of which is mark T thence North 149 poles to a hickory and hornbeam bushes in John S Andersons line thence East 63 poles to the BeginningTo have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Claibourne Mobley and heirs and assigns forever And the said Peter Thompson for[?] himself[?] his heirs and assigns doth hereby covenant with the said Claibourne Mobley his heirs and assigns that he the said Peter Thompson will forever defend the right and title of said tract or parcel of land and every part and particle thereof unto him the said Claibourne Mobley his heirs and assigns against the claim of him the said Peter Thompson and against the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever. Todd County Court Clerks Office Oct 23th 1827 I Burrus E Pittman deputy Clerk for Willis L Reeves Clerk of said County Court do hereby Certify that the foregoing indenure of bargain and sale from Peter Thompson to Claibourne Mobley was produced to me and proven by the oaths of R E Acock William Pittman on the 3rd day of October 1827 Subscribing witnesses thereto to be his the said Thompsons act and deed and the same is ordered to be recorded In testimony whereof and that the same together with this certificate stands truly recorded in said office I have hereunto set my hand Burrus E Pittman
