Genealogy of the RoBards Family. Self-published, W.R. Voris Printer,
Franklin, IN. 183 pp. (Photocopy generously provided by Gerald Lawrence;
transcription by Diana Gale Matthiesen.)
The transcription is verbatim, including errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation, which are neither noted nor corrected. The last page of the book includes a list of corrections, which I have incorporated into the text without comment. Names are in boldface. To make slaves easy to find, I've highlighted their names in green. Known errors are highlighted in red, usually accompanied by a correction or explanation. Comments in the text that are in (parentheses) are the author's, not mine. Any comments of mine in the text are enclosed in [brackets]. Footnotes in reduced font are mine. The transcription is obviously not complete, but I will add to it as often as time permits. I will not take time to scan the images until after the text is completely transcribed. As I will be scanning photocopies, the image quality will be poor, at best. If anyone has the original book and is willing and able to donate scanned images, they would be appreciated. When scanning, please use these parameters: 256 shades of grey (not B&W or color), size no more than 600 pixels in any dimension, JPG format. Submitter will, of course, be given credit for the scans. |

The book is too large to keep on one web page, but it's (lack of) organization is such that there are no obvious major subdivisions. Below is my attempt at a reasonable breakdown. Information in any one section includes that of the person named, plus a generation (or more) of their descendants.

"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal
on a main frame." Been there; done that. Never again.
You are giving away not only your privacy, but control of your data, your apps, and your computer to a corporation. Is that really where you want to go? The IT guys on the big iron hated the Personal Computer because it gave users freedom and power; now they've conned you into being back under their control. |
