45. EDWARD,⁵ (Timothy,⁴ John,³ Daniel,² John,¹) b. in Newton Dec. 3, 1752; m. in Stow, Jan. 9, 1772, Abigail Hale of Stow, b. May 29, 1752. He was then residing in Marlborough; but soon his residence changed, for "Edward Cheney," marched from "Harvard" in Isaac Gates's co., of Col. Asa Whitcomb's regt. on the alarm of April 19, 1775, and served 4 1/2 days. He bought land in Dublin, N.H., Aug. 18, 1777, and resided there a while; then went to Brandon, Vt. He bought of Robert Muzzy, July 8, 1783, for £20, the lands which had been originally laid out to Aaron Brown, and there he spent the remainder of his life. He was a deacon of the Baptist church and a

man of excellent repute. He d. Jan. 24, 1813; his widow d. March 19, 1841.

Note that Samuel, Edward, and Elijah's names are preceded by numbers. These are the numbers of their entries later in the book. I have extracted the records for Samuel and Edward, and you may link to them. However, there is no entry #119 for Elijah. The entries jump from 118 to 120.
