Either the birthyears of the boys are wrong or we have some enumerator error.  Still, there seems little doubt this household is our subject's.  List is alphabetical, so no neighborhood reconstruction is possible.  Other "WHITMERs/WHITMIREs" in Rockingham County:  Martin, Mary, Jacob, Esther, David, John, Jacob, Elizabeth, John, Mariah, and David.
