Children — born in Mecklenburg Co., VA: |
1. James
Mims THOMPSON, b. 1769 2. John THOMPSON, Jr. (III), b. ca. 1774, said to be born NC? 3. Elizabeth THOMPSON, b. ca. 1777 4. Richard THOMPSON, b. ca. 1782 5. Nancy THOMPSON, b. ca. 1785 6. Edward THOMPSON, b. ca. 1792 7. Joel THOMPSON, b. 1765-1794 The John Thompson who is married to Elizabeth Spencer — and who is presumed to be the father of Spencer Thompson, the grandson mentioned in the will of the above John Thompson, Sr. — was, according to the 1850 census, born in NC. It does not appear that John Senior ever left Virginia, so either this is the "wrong" John Thompson "Jr." or the census taker made a mistake. I have no proof that Joel is their son; the evidence is entirely circumstantial. |

On the other hand, if you feel I've made an error, please don't hesitate to notify me, but in which case, There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page. |
"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal
