1837 Jan 20. Married in Home District, Ontario, Canada. Maiden name, marriage info., their residence was North Gwillimbury, married by bands. Minister-Cornellius Flummerfelt of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Source-Marriage records, Home District, Ontario, Canada. I have a copy.

1845 - I believe the family may have been in Quebec at this time. Daughter Elizabeth Louisa lists her place of birth as Quebec Prov.

1851  Census- unable to locate - May have been in Quebec.

1861 Census, Georgina Twp, York County, Ontario w/wife Francis, & two daughters, Levisy, Leviny- place of birth for the girls is listed as Lower Canada. Living next to Nelson Ketch. 

1871 Census, Egremont Twp, Grey County, Ontario w/wife Francis, w/Alfred & Wellington. Living next to William Ketch. (Alfred & Wellington aka George Wellington aka WAC, listed as nephews in the WILL) Con. 17 Lot 10, Tenant, 50 acres, 5 improved, 5 pasture. Occupation: Cooper

1881 Census, Franklin & Sinclair Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.  61 yrs, living with wife, Francis 61 yrs, Wellington Thompson 13 yrs, & Emily Jane 7 yrs (listed as niece in the WILL).  Origin of all is listed as Scottish.  All born in Ontario except Francis who was born in New Brunswick.  Religion for all is Bible Christian.

Francis Jane Ketch Thompson

A letter dated December 1887 from Charlotte Ketch McKenzie to her sister mentions Aunt Fanny and Uncle John Thompson. Mentions Aunt Fanny's death at the beginning of the month, and that she had had a hard time of it. This links William Ketch as Frances Jane Thompson's brother. (We have a copy of the letter.)

1890/1906 of Sinclair Twp, Per Will of John Thompson Sr. in the Land Abstract Index records listed as a nephew, Wife Julia Ann.

Family rumor.  He lived in Simcoe County, Ontario, Canada. Source-Kathy McDonald

Do not know what happened to Alfred or who his parents really were.  Good chance he was the full brother of George Wellington Thompson. Possibly Alfred was a second name. George Wellington is listed in census as Wellington.
