At the time Jacob lived, Bavaria [Bayern] had administrative dominion over much of what is now southern Germany, including the Rhineland-Palatinate [Rheinland-Pfalz].  Eppstein is today, in the Rhineland-Palatinate [Rheinland-Pfalz], not in present-day Bavaria.  "BA. = Bezirksaemter," which are districts comparable to our counties.  ZEISSLERIN is the feminized form of the surname ZEISSLER.  In practice, Regina's mother would have been called Frau ZEISSLERIN and her father would have been called Herr ZEISSLER.

8.  An individual of this family has been Y-DNA tested at SMGF (Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation).  He is Haplogroup G2a, and his 12-marker haplotype (in FTDNA order) is:
13 22 15 10 14 14 10 13 11 12 11 30
As of 21 Sep 2008, none of the 45 members of the STRAUB/STROUP/STRUPP/etc. Y-DNA project are this haplogroup, so this family would have no matches there.  Because extracting an entire haplotype at SMGF is such a tedious undertaking, I will not extract the rest of this one until someone else tested in the project turns up Haplogroup G2a.

The IT guys on the big iron hated the Personal Computer because it gave users freedom and power; now they've conned you into being back under their control.
