8.  Query posted to the Laclede County, Missouri web site (online at rootsweb.com).
I have not been able to trace the family further the 1820s, when JACOB STROUP apparently moved to the county [Laclede].  Jacob was the father of HENRY STROUP (b. 1825), who married Sycilia of North Carolina, and fathered James, John, Caroline, William, Elizabeth, Anderson and Calvin.  John was the father of one MISSOURI STROUP, who was the mother of FLORA STROUP (ca. 1885-1971), who later moved to Oklahoma and married Arthur Garfield Osborn.
Missouri (BOOTH) STROUP was our subject's daughter-in-law, wife of Henry's son, James STROUP, not the daughter of his son, John.  James & Missouri (BOOTH) STROUP were the parents of Flora.
