1. The enumerator had written 12, then wrote 11 on top, but 12 is correct because John was born in Nov 1887, not Oct 1888.  John cannot have been born in October of 1888 if Bessie was born in May of 1889 because the dates are only seven months apart.  Other records show that John was born in November of 1887, which does make sense.
