Children — born Lincoln [now Gaston?] Co., NC:
1.  Barbara Rebecca STROUP, b. 1805; m. 23 Sep 1825, Thomas BLACK
2.  Matthew Wallace STROUP, b. 5 Dec 1807
3.  Nancy Talitha STROUP, b. 1810-15
4.  Christopher Goodson 'Christy' STROUP, b. 7 Jul 1810
5.  Jacob Cephus STROUP, b. 22 Nov 1815

7.  Isabelle "Ibby" STROUP, b. 1820-25 or 10 Sep 1828; d. 26 Apr 1901; m. Michael RUDISILL

The name "Talitha" is from an Aramaic phrase in the bible (Mark 5:41): "Talitha cumi," meaning roughly, "Damsel [I say unto thee], arise."  Often combined to form the name, "Talithacumi" (and various misspellings).

Daniel and Mary are tallied in the wrong age classes, but surely these are our subjects.
