A Wedding and Reception
Serenus Stroup and Miss Maggie O'Brien were married at the home of the bride's parents, on Wilson street, at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday evening [14 Oct 1891], the ceremony having been performed by Rev Samuel Creighton, of Pine street ME church.  Only the relatives and near friends of the couple were present. 
Last evening a reception was tendered at the home of the groom, No. 427 Wilson street, by the newly married couple, to their many friends.
