Geographical Note: at the time Lucy's parents were born, the map of Germany was very different than it is today. Heidelberg was, then, a city in the Grand Duchy of Baden, part of the German Conferation up to 1871 when it became part of the German Empire. Heidelberg is, today, the capital city of the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis [Kreis = District] in the German state of Baden-Wüttemberg. The city lies on the southern bank of the Neckar River near its juncture the Rhine. The 1920 census (extracted below) is hard to read and rife with errors, but clearly this region was the origin of Lucy's mother. |

Everything I have is online at this web site. I have no further information, so please don't write asking me if I do.
On the other hand, if you feel I've made an error, please don't hesitate to notify me, but in which case, There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page. |
"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal
