11.  Sheats Family Tree: Section VIII: Descendants of John Shitz — Centre/Clinton Co., PA:
Descendants of John (Sheats) Shitz, Esq. who settled in Sugar Valley, which is two miles wide and about forty miles long. The town name was Logan and later changed to Loganton.  It was situated in Centre County before 1843 and at that time it became Clinton County, Pennsylvania...
Clinton County was formed from Centre and Lycoming Cos. in 1839, not 1843.

12.  Edward Adlum Straub.  1909.  Life and Civil War Services of Edward A. Straub … Written by Himself.  Press of J.H. Yewdale & Sons, Milwaukee, WI (excerpts online at the Carroll County sections of the Illinois Trails web site).
William Straub, later of Manchester, Delaware County, Iowa was their first son. He married Miss Ellen Gramly of Clinton Co PA.  They were the parents of 8 children - Edward, Bert, William, Henry, Agnus Straub was married to Charles Robinson, formerly of Carroll Co. Ill. They now live in Delaware Co IA. (1908), Ellen, Cora, Katie Straub who died in Ogle Co IL.
Censuses indicate our subjects had nine children, not eight.  The author, Edward Adlum STRAUB, is our subject's first cousin, so you would assume he could put together an accurate list of his children.  The one missing is "Love(?), b. 1873/4," who shows up only in the 1880 census.  Perhaps she died young.
