Tobias STRAUB
Ms. __?__ Mary Elizabeth LOWE |
Husband: Tobias [Albert and/or O.] STRAUB / STROUB / STROUP
Birth: Jan 1858, Lykens Twp., Dauphin Co., PA Baptism: 1 Mar 1858, Zion Evangelical Lutheran and Evangelical Reformed Congregations, "Klinger's Church," Erdman, Lykens Twp., Dauphin Co., PA Death: 1934, presumably in Dauphin Co., PA Disposition: buried Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lykens Twp., Dauphin Co., PA Occupation: farmer Father: Samuel STRAUB Mother: Hanna KLINGER Our subject is said to have been baptized "Tobias Albert" (see parents' page), but he had middle initial "O" in the 1860, 1870, and 1900 censuses, and on his tombstone. I have no explanation for the discrepancy, unless the baptismal record (or its transcription) is in error, or unless he had three given names, or unless someone thought "Albert" was spelled "Olbert." (Note that the given name "Oscar" ran in the family.) |

Everything I have is online at this web site. I have no further information, so please don't write asking me if I do.
On the other hand, if you feel I've made an error, please don't hesitate to notify me, but in which case, There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page. |
"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal
