I find it hard to believe Zella married twice by the age of 19 and a third time by the age of 23. In the 1930 census, at the age of 24, Zella indicates her age at first marriage was 23, just early enough to be the wife of Charles and the mother of Celesta. Alleged son, Torrence, is living with Amos & Margaret (SMITH) WHITFIELD in the 1930 census, so it appears their daughter was, indeed, the one who married William Herbert O'NEAL, but was that woman really the same one who married Charles STRAUB?

Column 15 is "age at first marriage," which, if correct, means Charles was Zella's first husband, which means she didn't marry twice before marrying Charles, unless she was keeping her prior marriages secret from him — or at least from the census enumerator.
