Apparently Albert's tombstone gives his birthyear as 1857, but the censuses clearly show he was born in 1860.  As Mary outlived her husband, it is likely she is the one who ordered his tombstone; and, rather than have it immortalized in stone that she married a younger man, she probably gave him the earlier birthyear.
