For a brief period, the Pfalz was administratively under the control of Bavaria (Bayern), but it no longer is, so it is misleading to now show Edenkoben as being in Bavaria.

Born 14 Mar 1879 in "Edenkoben, Bavaria, Germany." Baptized Georg Franz. Father was a surgeon in WWI.  Pre-med at Univ. of Wurzburg; 1903 M.D. summa cum laude from Univ. Heidelberg.  Moved Germany to London to New York.  Marriage to "French-Canadian girl" lasted only a few years and ended in divorce.  Came to Honolulu on 31 Dec 1907.  Married ca. 1922 to Gertrude Scott Ivers, d/o Professor and Mrs. Marion McCarroll Scott, and widow of Richard Ivers.  Gertrude died in 1959; no issue. George d. 21 May 1966.
