Name: J Henry Stong
Birth Date: 1790
Birth Place: PA
Death Date: 1825
Death Place: Lower Mahantango, Schuykill (sic), PA
Father: John Stong

Spouse: Elizabeth
These are patron submissions, so caveat emptor.  If J. Henry is the son of our subject, then his birthyear dictates that he is the son of John's first wife, Susannah Catharine, not Maria Christina.

4.  1790 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #13 of 24; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):•
1790 PA Montgomery Co. Roll M637_9 p. 24/26/162 Ln. 22 John Stong 2-1-1-0-0

= ?
1 free white males 15 or under 1774-1790 = J. Henry (b. 1790)
1 free white females all ages in or bef. 1790 = Susannah (b. 1767)
Listed nest to John's brothers, Henry STONG and Jacob STONG.  Also in county, John's father, Philip, and brother, Philip Jr.

5.  1800 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #5 of 7; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):•
1800 PA Montgomery Co. New Hanover Twp. Roll 41 p. 60/735 Ln. 38 Stong John 00010-10010-00

1 female 9 or under 1790-1800 = Daughter A
1 female 26-44 1755-1774 = Susannah (b. 1767)
Where is son, Henry?  And Son B?  Away at school?  There is no other John STANG/STONG in the census, anywhere.  Brothers Henry and Jacob are in Lower Salford Twp.; brothers Philip Jr. and Conrad, plus father Philip, are in Worcester Twp.

6.  1810 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #4 of 4; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):•
1810 PA Berks [now Schuylkill] Co. Lower Mahantongo [now Hubley] Twp. Roll 45 p. 822 Ln. 7 John Stang 01101-01000-00

1 male 45 or over in or bef. 1765 = John (b. 1761)
1 female 10-15 1794-1800 = Daughter A
John is obviously a widower, and the teenagers are presumably children of his late wife.  The only other STANG/STONG in Berks Co. is Andrew STANG in Bern.

7.  1820 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com; Image #6 of 8; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•/•
1820 PA Schuylkill Co. Lower Mahantango [now Hubley] Twp. Roll M33_111 p. 3B Ln. 15 John Stong 011101-30010-0-200

3 females 9 or under 1810-1820 = Daughter C
= Daughter B
= Susanna STONG (b. 1811)
1 female 26-44 1775-1794 = Maria Christina (b. 1780)
2 persons engaged in agriculture
*In the 1820 Census, the third column is age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25; therefore, any individual in column three is duplicated in column four.  By subtracting the number in column three from the number in column four, you can create an age class "19-25." If the numbers in column three and column four are equal, then you can eliminate the 19-25 column because all individuals are 16-18.
The only other STANG/STONG in Schuylkill County is Henry STONG.

These data indicate:

1 male 4 or under 1825-1830 = John STRAUB, Jr. (b. 1829)
1 male 5-9 1820-1825 = Jacob STONG (b. 1823/4)
1 male 10-14 1815-1820 = ?
1 male 20-29 1800-1810 = John STRAUB, Sr. (b. 1806)
1 male 60-69 1760-1770 = John STONG (b. 1761)

1 female 20-29 1800-1810 = Christina (HEIM) STRAUB (b. 1806)
1 female 50-59 1770-1780 = Maria Christina (b. 1780)
The teenage boy was not in the household in 1820, so is presumably not their son.  Step-son John STRAUB, Sr., and family are living with them.  Daughter Susanna is married and enumerated with her husband.  Listed two lines from Benjamin HEIM.

9.  1840 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #5-6 of 16; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•/•
