1c.  Allen L. Potts.  Marion County, Ohio, Probate Court Marriage Records, Vols. I-XII, 1824-1902 (online at Heritage Pursuit):
Sibold, James Cline, Jennie P. 10/1/1879 Rev. S.D. Bates - Free Will Baptist
Unless James committed bigamy and managed to be enumerated in two different counties (Delaware and Allen) in the 1880 census, this James is not our subject, though the two could easily be confused in later censuses (see below).

2.  1880 Census (indexed at FamilySearch.org; page image online at Ancestry.com, Image #26 of 28):  Marlboro Twp. Delaware Co., OH, p. 345B, PN 26, SD 5, ED 106, enumerated 19 Jun 1880, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1880 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):º•
1880:  for an explanation of the column headings, please see
What the Numbers in the Federal Census Mean (missing columns contained no data).
1 2 3 4 5 6 8 9 10 12 13 24 25 26
251 260 Feaster George W M 55     /   Farmer Ohio Va Md
    ______ Mary M W F 56 Wife   /   Keeping House Ohio Pa Pa

    ______ Esteran W F 21 Dau   / / house keeping Ohio Ohio Ohio
    Lang Wm H W M  6 nephew /       Ohio Germany Ohio
Column 12 means "widow/widower."  Were both James and Esther Ann married and widowed before marrying each other?  If not, I have no other conceivable explanation for why those columns were ticked, and given that James and Esther are now married, the enumerator should not have ticked them.  James's mother was born in PA, not Ohio.  Note that James & Jennie P. (CLINE) SIBOLD are enumerated in the 1880 census in Allen Co., OH.

3.  1890 Census:  the 1890 Census Population Schedules were destroyed.

4.  1900 Census Index/Images (online at Genealogy.com):  our subjects not found, though James SIBOLD (age 48, b. OH) and his wife Jennie are still in Allen Co., OH.  It appears that both James & Esther are deceased because at least two of their children show up as ophans living in Delaware Co., OH:
Pearl I. SIBOLT (indexed SIBOLE, age 8, born Jun 1891 in OH, parents born in OH) living as an adopted daughter with Benjamin & Carrie SHERWOOD in Delaware Twp., Delaware Co., OH (E.D. 32, p. 129A).
Clara G. SIBOLDT (age 13, born Nov 1886 in OH, parents born in OH) living as a servant in the household of Abram & Nancy CONKLIN in Troy Twp., Delaware Co., OH (E.D. 40, p. 205A).
Didn't find Clyde, though I did page-by-page searches of Marlborough, Troy, and Delaware Twps. (but not Delaware City).  If only Genealogy.com had a decent search engine — one where you could search by county and first name — Clyde could probably be found easily.

5.  1910 Census Index/Images (online at Genealogy.com):  our subjects not found, but we find this orphan living in Marlboro Twp., Delaware Co., OH:
Clide SIBOLE (age 16, b. OH, parents b. OH) living as a servant with the John & Lizzie CORTOR family in Marlboro Twp., Delaware Co., OH (E.D. 47, p. 206B).
Pearl & Clara are likely married by now.

6.  1920 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  our subjects not found, and there is only one SIBOLE in Delaware Co., OH:
Clyde SIBOLE (age 25, b. OH, unmarried) in Marlboro Twp. Delaware Co., OH (E.D. 76, p. 202A); living as a "hired man" with the Walter CRIST family.

7.  1930 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  our subjects not found, and there are no SIBOLEs in Delaware Co., OH, but there is one variation:
Clyde SIBLE (age 34, b. OH, unmarried) in Marlboro Twp., Delaware Co., OH (E.D. 21-19, p. 202A); living as a lodger with the Henry & Minnie WILSON family.
