8.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1860 (Broderbund CD-318):  there is no Samuel SIAS in Vermont, which supports the earlier death date.  The Sophia R. SIAS in Newport, Orleans Co., VT, is too young to be our widow.
