CRITTENDEN" is Lydia (SHERWOOD) CRITTENDEN, our subject's recently married daughter, whose husband, Hiram CRITTENDEN, is living in a hotel in St. Louis, apparently away on business (by 1860, Hiram & Lydia are living together in St. Louis).  Moses HOPKINS is the brother of Mark HOPKINS, future husband of William's daughter, Mary Frances (SHERWOOD) HOPKINS, but where is Mary Frances?
