Email from Rita Gervais (9 Apr 2012):
...Albert and Emily's adopted son William was the son of Emily's sister Emeline, not a sister of Albert.  After Emeline's first husband (Mr. Secor or Secord) died William was taken in by Albert and Emily.  They all moved from Canada to New Liberty, Scott Count, Iowa.  Emeline married a James Storms, in Cedar County, Iowa, on Sept.10, 1864, a widower with children.  In short time, they added more children to the family.  Emeline died May 20, 1871 and is buried at New Liberty cemetery.  Her husband James Storms and children moved to Colorado shortly after.
