John Thompson, born in Virginia, probably Louisa County, Jan. 7th, 1776, married March 31st, 1789, Miss Sarah Woodson Ragland, of Virginia, perhaps Lawden County.  They moved to Kentucky, starting Oct. 20th, 1789, and arrived at Georgetown, Kentucky, Dec. 1st, 1789.
