If George and Fanny were married in 1969, the two children are presumably from an earlier marriage of one of them.  Rosa later gives her maiden name as Rosa PATTERSON, so it appears the girls are Fanny's illegitimate children.

11.  Public Member Trees (online at Ancestry.com):  as of this date (25 Aug 2018), three files here include our subject; none identifies his parents.

12.  WorldConnect / Ancestry World Trees (online at wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com):  as of this date (25 Aug 2018), four files here include our subject, one of which gives his birthplace as Montreal, shows an unnamed earlier spouse, and shows spelling, ROSENBURGH.  Montreal is in Quebec (QC), Lower or French or East Canada.  George's census records indicate "Upper" or English  or West Canada, which is Ontario (ON).  As of this date (26 Aug 2018), two files here include Frances J. PATTERSON; neither is aware of her marriage to George (I left messages with each).

13.  The LDS (FamilySearch.org) has what appears to be a secondary record (originally from the old IGI) showing Rosa ROSENBURG born 23 Feb 1863 in "Waine, Waine Co., Illinois," the daughter of George ROSENBURG & Francess.  The misspelling of Wayne County supports that this was a user-submitted record, not a primary source, as was the case with the majority of submissions to the old IGI (International Genealogical Index).  Without knowning the marriage date of George & Frances, it would be reasonable to declare Rosa the daughter of Frances based on the 1870 census, but the 1869 marriage records strongly argues for a previous wife.

14.  ROSENBERG Y-DNA Surname Project:  Activity Feed (online at FamilyTreeDNA.com).  A patrilineal line male descendant of our subject has been Y-DNA tested, and he is Haplogroup R1b-M269 with no matches so far (25 Aug 2018).
