Vol. X, p. 241 1835. Notes from the Newspapers... April 24. A fire broke out in a stable in the rear of the Rising Sun tavern, corner of South Pearl and Beaver streets, which destroyed all the buildings between Beaver street and the Theatre, owned by Isaac Denniston. The Theatre building was saved, but the scenery and properties were either burnt or destroyed.
