3.  1860 Census Index/Images (online at Genealogy.com, Image #1 of 14):  Neosho Falls Twp., Woodson Co., KS, Roll 352 (Book 1), p. 809, PN 1, 10/10, enumerated 21 Jun 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

Calvin  5 M         Iowa

I have no explanation, beyond enumerator error, for the change of daughter Sarah in 1850 to son Leigh in 1860.  And where is Laura?

This record is very difficult to explain without evoking at least some enumerator error.  Leroy, William, and Calvin are William's children with his former wife, Isabella COULTER.  But who is Laura?  She was not with William in the 1860 census.  Mary Jane married William some time after 1860 as Mary Jane RAWLS, so Frank and Mary would appear to be Mary Jane's children from her former marriage to Mr. RAWLS/ROLLS (who apparently was an Indian).    Clara is said to be the daughter of William's son, Leroy (Lee Roy), so she should be surnamed PHILIPS — Martha, too, I presume.  Clara's mother is supposed to have been an Indian.

Everything I have is online at this web site.  I have no further information, so please don't write asking me if I do.
On the other hand, if you feel I've made an error, please don't hesitate to notify me, but in which case,

please include a link to the page you are referencing.
There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page.
