John R. MORRIS
Rachel W. CARRICO
Husband:  John R. MORRIS
Birth:  ca. 1820
Death(?):  1842-1850
Marriage:  23 Feb 1843, Greene Co., IN
Wife:  Rachel W. CARRICO
Birth:  ca. 1824
Death(?):  1843-1850

The only CARRICOs I know of who were early in Greene Co., IN, would have been descendants of Josiah CORBIN, brother of the Charles CARRICO who settled in Sullivan Co., IN.  Both are descendants of Peter CARRICO I, 1674 immigrant to Maryland.

Children:
1.  Mary Catherine MORRIS, b. 1 Mar 1843; married, lived, and died in Sullivan Co., IN
Keywords for search engines:  genealogy; USA, US, United States, Indiana

Sources:

1.  Jordan R. Dodd, ed.  1993.  Illinois/Indiana Marriages:  Early to 1850.  Liahona Research, Orem, UT (Broderbund CD-228):
Morris, John R. Carrico, Rachel W. Feb 23, 1843 Greene Co., IN

2.  1850 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  can't find.

3.  1860 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  can't find.

4.  Public Member Trees (online at Ancestry.com).  A story here says Mary was adopted ca. age 11 and lived with a family in Newberry, Greene Co., IN, but Mary married as MORRIS, so she was apparently not legally adopted.  On the other hand, I can't find her as Mary MORRIS in the 1850 or 1860 censuses.

"The Cloud" is double-speak for "dumb terminal on a main frame." Been there; done that. Never again.

The IT guys on the big iron hated the Personal Computer because it gave users freedom and power; now they've conned you into being back under their control.
