This was one of those enumerators who literally put the names in reverse order; that is, "George W. Menges" was enumerated "Menges W. George," when he should have been enumerated the standard way of "Menges, George W."  All the names in the index of this township that have middle initials contain the same enumeration error and, thus, the same indexing error.
