OAKLAND. May 11...
Alvilde Matthiesen was bombarded by Peter Matthiesen with household articles, as she testified.  Matthiesen was said to have hit his wife with a cup of hot collee, thrown when her back was turned, and with a catsup bottle.  Mrs. Matthiesen testified that he called her names, kicked her, swore at her and said she was a fool when she cried.  An interlocutory decree was given her today.

There is a penciled line apparently indicating Alvilde's and Peter's positions should be reversed; then scribbling to undo the error across several columns.  More importantly, it shows Alvilde as having a surviving child.  So, where is this child?  It appears that, in his confusion, the enumerator failed to include their daughter, Blanche.
