p. 73 205.  V.  66.  JONATHAN5LYON [Aaron,4 William,3 John,2 William1] was born in Woodstock, Conn., April 26, 1741, and died in that place May 28, 1830; buried in the Woodstock Hill Cemetery.  He married in Woodstock, Dec. 22, 1763 (T.R.), Rebecca [Rebekah] Corbin, daughter of Elisha3 Corbin [James,2 Clement1], of Dudley, Mass.  She was born in 1742 and died Aug. 12, 1828, ae. 86 (G.R., in which the name is Rebecka).  He was overseer in 1773 of a highway district (Hist. Windham Co.).

§James Wheaton was born May 5, 1789, and died Dec. 27, 1874.  Children of James and Nancy (Lyon) Wheaton:  1. Warren L., b. March 6, 1812; m. 1st Harriet Record (4 sons and 2 daughters); m. 2d April 4, 1877, Christiana Shugg of New York City; 2. Jesse C., b. May 27, 1813; m. Miss O. Gary (4 sons and 5 daughters); one son is a Methodist minister.  Warren and Jesse Wheaton settled in Illinois about 1834, 25 miles west of Chicago, and founded there the town of Wheaton and the college bearing the same name.  The brothers were both farmers, but men of much enterprise and public spirit.  Warren has been amember of both branches of the State Legislature.
