Wilson LIGHTFOOT
Sarah Frances PARKER
Please Note:  some data on this page do not jibe with each other or with assertions made by secondary sources.  More work is needed here, but as these are not my kin, I can't invest any more time trying to solve the problems with these connections.
Husband:  Wilson "Will" LIGHTFOOT
Birth:  14 Dec 1861, MS
Death:  31 Dec 1947, Jackson Co., FL
Disposition:  buried Piney Grove Cemetery, Cottondale, Jackson Co., FL
Occupation:  laborer
Parents:  born in AL or GA

Secondary sources are calling our subject, "William R. LIGHTFOOT," and attaching him to this set of parents:
Father:  William LIGHTFOOT
Mother:  Nancy Cathryn FILLINGIM
If I could find Wilson in the 1870 or 1880 censuses, we would have our answer as to his parentage, but I can't find him, and apparently neither can anyone else.  What I'm concerned about is that Wilson was transmogrified into William simply to relieve the frustration of not finding his parents.  Sometimes, you just have to accept that you've hit the end of the paper trail.  Y-DNA testing of a patrilineal line male descendant could at least attach Wilson to the correct LIGHTFOOT family.
