Cyrus Wells KIRK
Nellie BROWN
Please Note:  our subject is being confused with several other Cyrus KIRK's born ca. the 1840s, namely:
  •  Cyrus Y. KIRK, b. 16 Aug 1838, OH, s/o Joseph KIRK & Susannah KARR; m. Catharine GONTER; lived Stark Co., OH.
  •  Cyrus KIRK, b. 1 Jun 1844, PA, s/o Jacob Levi KIRK & Jane MILNER; m. Henrietta S. MILLER; lived PA, later settled in Des Moines, IA.
  •  Cyrus H. KIRK, b. 18 Sep 1846, OH, s/o William B. KIRK & Ann JENKINS; m. Catharine SHEPHERD; lived Belmont Co., OH.
  •  Cyrus KIRK, b. 1847/8, OH, s/o Elisha KIRK & Almira MORROW; lived Warren, then Holmes, Co., OH.
The primary souce of the confusion appears to stem from the fact that I can't find our subject in the 1860 census,
so people are attaching one of the other Cyrus's records to him.  Sometimes, you just have to give in and accept someone was missed.
