To compound our difficulties, the enumerator has confused Amanda's first husband, Henry KEIM, with her second husband, Daniel P. STRAUSS!

NAME[ Straub, Daniel P. NAME[ Keim, Mrs. Amanda BECKEL_INDEX[ Daniel P. Strauss of Bersville, Berks County  MARRIED  Mrs. Amanda E. Keim  of Bethlehem, December 27, 1884 in East Allentown by Dr. A. R. Horne.

Someone has mis-read Strauß as Straub.  The German letter ß is the equivalent of English double-s (ss), not B!  He is Daniel P. STRAUSS, not STRAUB.  There's no such place as "Bersville," but there is a Bernville in Penn Twp., Berks Co, PA, residence of Daniel P. STRAUSS in the 1870 and 1880 censuses.
