WARNING:  There are several Thomas IAMS born in Pennsylvania about the same time and place who are being mixed up.  They are undoubtedly related, as cousins, but the similarities between them have resulted in the mixups.  In addition to our subject, these include:
1.  the Thomas IAMS (1821/2- ) who married Delilah HUFFMAN, 
2.  the Thomas Palmer IAMS (1824-1902) who married Sarah JOHNSON, 
3.  the Thomas IAMS (c1825-1906) who married Phoebe PENN, and
4.  the Thomas IAMS (1830-1900s) who married 2nd Sarah Jane RAMSEY.

Some moron went back and, in another pen and hand, changed "Iams" to "James," which was then indexed, "Jauss."  Secondary sources say Elizabeth's middle intial was "P."  I can't really tell.  Listed next to married son, Daniel IAMS (æ 22, b. PA — also converted to "James"), and his family.

PA), and his family.  They are incorrectly labeled as Daniel's "in-laws."  Lydia indicates she's had seven children, with just two living.
