I discovered Ellen was called "Hattie" by her gravestone (Brent Cemetery), which says "daughter of Dell and L A Rasey"...
Tom and Hattie married about 1910 and within a year they had a daughter they named Ruby. On December 28, 1912, Hattie, who was about 8 mos pregnant, got too close to the fire and her nightgown caught. She ran outside to prevent the house catching on fire. Tom heard her cries, but by the time he got to her she had managed to put it out by rolling in the snow. She suffered severe burns. She went into shock, the baby (boy) was stillborn that day. She died about 2 weeks later. Both are buried in the Brent Cemetery.
