PLEASE NOTE: Many secondary sources equate our subject with the Benjamin HINTON who was the son of Vachel & Margaret (HOWARD?) HINTON. These are two different men. Vachel HINTON was one of the Maryland HINTONs, whose descendants migrated on a track from Maryland to Kentucky, then Illinois and Indiana and elsewhere. Our subject is a descendant of George HINTON, immigant from England. The general migration track George HINTON's descendants was from PA, to Augusta/Rockingham Co., VA, to Belmont Co., OH. |
