Based on our subject's alleged marriage date and Martha's birth date in the 1900 census, Martha was born before Millie and James were married, raising the question as to whether or not James is her father.

I am, of course, guessing as to when the non-surviving children were born, but it does "fit" that they would be close to the standard spacing of two years between births and the average maximum maternal age at last birth of 43 years.
