James GLOVER
Hannah KING
CAUTION:  this family group sheet is based largely on secondary sources, which do not agree.
Husband:  James GLOVER
Birth:  ca. 1759, MD
Death:  1818, Madison Co., AL
Father said to beMr. GLOVER
Mother said to beMs. __?__
Marriage:  28 May 1782, Wilkes Co., NC
Migration:  1813, sold land in Georgia
Wife:  Hannah "Nancy" KING
Birth:  ca. 1763

["Nancy" is the nickname for Hannah, so there is no need to postulate two wives for James.]

Children unproven:
1.  William GLOVER, b. 1782; d. 12 Mar 1845, Madison Co., AL
2.  Benjamin K. GLOVER, b. 1785; d. Feb 1841, Madison Co., AL
3.  Richard GLOVER, b. 1789/90, GA
4.  James GLOVER, Jr., b. by 1792
5.  Jonathan M. GLOVER, b. 1800/1, Elbert Co., GA

One source gives our subjects these children, but Hannah was rather old to have birthed George, and it would have been biologically impossible for her to have birthed Joel or Elizabeth.
George Washington GLOVER, b. 22 Jun 1806, GA
.  Joel Henderson GLOVER, b. 1 Jun 1812; d. 12 Aug 1873, AR
Elizabeth GLOVER, b. 1810-20, but prob. ca. 1819; m. 3 Sep 1838, Madison Co., AL, Samuel RENFROW (c1815- )
Some secondary sources have confused this Elizabeth and her husband with Samuel Pinkney RENFROE & Eliza __?__, a couple in the 1850 census of Pickens Co., AL, which is where the oft quoted birthyears for them of 1802 and 1808 came from, but this is a different couple.  The 1840 census shows both Elizabeth and Samuel born 1810-20, and the marriage date places his probable birth ca. 1815 and her probable birthyear at ca. 1819.  Unfortunately, I can't find them in the 1850 census (which apparently is how they got mistaken for the other couple).
