The index says "Downers Grove," and that is what it says at the top of the census page, but midway down the page, the census-taker enters "Town of Winfield." Charles GALUSHA is Jacob's brother. They are listed next to Jacob's sister, Mabel (GALUSHA) HERRICK. Jacob's father, Ezra GALUSHA (now 80 yrs old) is also living in Winfield.

He is the only GALUSHA in the county.

4. LDS. Family Search: Internet Genealogy Service: Ancestral File. The AF shows her name is "Pamelia," but it is clearly Permelia in the census, and while there is such a name as Permelia (common pre-1850), there is no such name as "Pamelia."
