Included there is a scan of our subjects' marriage license, which tells us William FUQUA (æ 29) is the son of Emeline FUQUA and an unknown father and that both are deceased.  It also tells us Martha DUNNIVANT (æ 18) is the daughter of Thomas DUNNIVANT and Elizabeth DUNNIVANT and that both are living.  The license was applied for by William's first cousin, Nathaniel G. FUQUA, on 13 Dec 1879 in Caswell Co., NC.  There is a further document showing they were married on this date in Yanceyville by a Justice of the Peace.
