Amasa J. FORD
Maryette COLVIN
Mary Jane "Dolly" THORP
Husband:  Amasa J. FORD
Birth:  23 Jul 1829, Perry, Genesee [now Wyoming] Co., NY
Death:  2 Mar 1904, Town of Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY
Occupation:  farmer, carpenter, laborer
Military Service:  Civil War
Father:  Nathaniel FORD (1795->1880)
Mother:  Sarah COPELAND (1789->1880)
Marriage-1:  ca. 1847
Wife-1:  Maryette / Mariett / Mariette COLVIN
Birth:  1830/1, VT
Death:  15 Dec 1866, Cattaraugus Co., NY
Disposition:  buried East Otto Cemetery, East Otto, Cattaraugus Co., NY
Occupation:  homemaker
Father:  Freeman COLVIN (1789-1876)
Mother:  Pluma HUBBARD (1796-1864)

In the 1850 census, "Manett" is an indexer's mis-reading of "Marrett" or possibly "Mariett" — this enumerator had abominable handwriting — which is surely a misspelling of her first name, not a middle name or alternate first name.  In other words, she is not "Maryette Mannett COLVIN," but simply, Maryette COLVIN.  Also, Mariett and Maryette are simply alternate spellings of Mariette.  Do keep in mind that, on top of poor handwriting, many census enumerators could not correctly spell anything other than the most common names, and please do see my article on Spelling for Genealogists.
Marriage-2:  1870-75
Wife-2:  Mary Jane "Dolly" THORP
Birth:  1846/7, OH
Death:  1880-1892, presumably in Cattaraugus Co., NY
