Note: "Ammi" and "Ruhama" are scriptural names, from the book of Hosea. The combination is puzzling because, while Ammi is a male name, Ruhama is a female name.

Historical Note:

Abigail (DANE) FAULKNER was tried and condemned at the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. She was spared hanging only because she was pregnant at the time and, by the time she had birthed her child, the accusers had recanted their testimony and the witch hunt was over. Their daughter, Dorothy FAULKNER, married Samuel NURSE, grandson of Rebecca (TOWNE) NURSE, who was hanged as a witch in 1692.
