Messages posted to the Montogomery County, Kansas, Location Board (online at Rootsweb.com/Ancestry.com): Specifically, this message from Carol Ann Miller, who did a lookup of Joseph's tombstone reading. His tombstone gives only his death date, 31 May 1883, no birth date. Of course, this is assuming the tombstone is his. I'm not certain we know that without additional information.
