ARCHIBALD DAVIS... m. first to Matilda Kurtz... [His] children were... Stewart, m. in 1864 to Amanda Devinney...  Stewart and William have been in company of their father since 1861.  Stewart was a member of Co. H, 10th Pa. militia for thirty days.  His children are:  John D. and Stewart Archibald....
The book was published in 1880 (doubtless written earlier), so the author missed the child born in 1879.
