Some have asserted that Missouri is the daughter of Benjamin CHAMBLER, but I find no evidence to document the connection.  While Benjamin is found in the 1860 census of Franklin Co., GA (q.v.), he has no spouse or children with him.  I cannot find Benjamin in 1850, nor can I find Missouri in either 1850 or 1860, so the identity of her parents remains unknown.  I wouldn't make too much of the fact that she named her first child, Benjamin, because John had a brother, Benjamin Franklin DOVE, who died in the Civil War, and it is said this son was named for him.

This enumerator has all the adults and older children on the page as "12" in Column 14.  I don't know where he got the idea that because you were a farmer (or a member of his household) you were unemployed!
